The Council is a parliamentary and executive organ aimed to manage the clan about "Star Wars universe". The initial Council will be appointed by the Senate. Successive Council members will be decided by the then members of The Council and as such, The Council will be self-governing.

The Council will consist of ten percent (10%) of the members of the clan, each of {JM}/ {SM} or superior rank. A member of The Council will serve one (1) year terms and can serve no more than three (3) consecutive one (1) year terms. At no time will there be less than three (3) members of The Council and The Council shall always have an odd number of members, not to exceed ten percent (10%) of the clan members. In the event that there are less than ten percent (10%) of the clan of rank higher than {JK}/{SW} , then the Council will make special appointments regardless of rank to fill the remaining Council member seats.

The requirements to be Council are in order:

• Time in the JOC clan.
• Higher than {JM}/{SM} Rank (Highest ranks have preference).
• Active player in Forums and Servers.
• Cannot be a member of the Senate.

Council Charges:

1. Test applicants after the Senate approval and trial period, and give them rank.
2. Upgrade Ranks.
3. The Council will be responsible to give master to their jedi/sith padawans, and supervise their training.
4. The Council can also propose and make recommendations in the clan politics after being voted on by senate.
5. Senate still has the power to veto or override decisions made by the Council.

Promotion of Council Members

To avoid potential conflicts of interest, the Council members may not promote themselves. Instead, the following procedure will be followed:

1. The Council will vote to submit a recommendation to the Senate on behalf of the Council member to be promoted. Only one Council member may receive consideration for promotion at a time.
2. The Senate will then debate the promotion for seven (7) days. At the end of that time, The {DL} or designated representative, will start a 7-day vote in the Senate. A simple majority will be required to promote the individual.
3. One of the Assistant Leaders {AL} will notify the Council of the Senate's decision.

Council Idle Time

If Council members haven't posted in 30 days or more, then they would have to resign, and if they are around to do so, then appoint their successor.

Failing that, the senate would vote on currently active members, and choose the one most capable, of fulfilling that seat.

If a member is ill for longer than 30 days, or is unable to access forums, then the Senate would have to vote about whether that member should relinquish their seat.

Creation of Council Member's Rank

The Leadership rank for Council Members will be {C}. As with all Leadership ranks, the color of this rank will be blue.

Authority of Council to Regulate Official Ranks and Rank Colors

The Council shall have the express authority to regulate official ranks and official rank colors for a member's tags.

This authority shall not pertain to the Leadership ranks - {L}, {DL}, {AL}, {SE}, {F}, {C} which shall always be the color blue. Further, the color blue shall be expressly reserved for Leadership ranks only.
